Appearance
Cross-domain
If one journey spans several domains (for example shop.example and pay.example), list them so the visitor and session are kept across domains:
html
<script async src="https://cdn.eureka-analytics.com/eureka.js" data-pid="AH-XXXXXX" data-domains="shop.example,pay.example"></script>or
js
eureka('config', { domains: ['shop.example', 'pay.example'] })How it works:
- When a visitor clicks a link or submits a form to one of these domains, the tag adds a
_ahlparameter (visitor ID, session ID, time, checksum bound to the browser's user agent). - The value expires after 2 minutes.
- On the landing page, the tag checks it, adopts the visitor and session (in
fullconsent mode), and removes the parameter from the address bar. - Nothing is added without full consent.
Install the same property ID on all domains, and add every hostname to the property's allowed hostnames. Subdomains of the same site (www. and shop. of example.com) need nothing: the cookie is set on the registrable domain.
