Quickstart in 5 minutes
From sign-up to your first agents and humans in a report.
Go to app.eureka-analytics.com/signup and enter your work email, a password, your organization name and your website address. No card is needed.
Your account starts with a 14-day trial of the Growth plan. When it ends, you stay on the Free plan unless you choose a paid plan. See Plans and billing.
Add your site
Your first site (called a property) is created from the website address you entered. It gets an ID like
AH-1A2B3C. To add another site later: Admin → Properties → Add property, then list the hostnames allowed to send data (for exampleshop.example.com,*.example.comfor subdomains).Install the tag
Pick the method that fits your site. Each one takes about a minute.
html<!-- Paste in the <head> of every page --> <script> (function (w, d, s, u, p) { w.eureka = w.eureka || function () { (w.eureka.q = w.eureka.q || []).push(arguments); }; var j = d.createElement(s), f = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; j.async = 1; j.src = u; j.setAttribute('data-pid', p); f.parentNode.insertBefore(j, f); })(window, document, 'script', 'https://cdn.eureka-analytics.com/eureka.js', 'AH-XXXXXX'); </script>text1. Tags → New → Tag type "Custom HTML". 2. Paste the snippet (replace AH-XXXXXX with your property ID). 3. Trigger: "Initialization - All Pages" (or "All Pages"). 4. Save, then Submit and Publish the container.text1. Install a header/footer code plugin (for example "WPCode"), or edit your theme's header.php. 2. Paste the snippet in the site-wide <head> section. 3. Save. Clear any page cache (WP Rocket, LiteSpeed…).text1. Online Store → Themes → … → Edit code. 2. Open layout/theme.liquid and paste the snippet just before </head>. 3. Save. For checkout pages, add the snippet in Settings → Customer events (custom pixel) if your plan allows it.textAny CMS that lets you add code to the <head> of all pages works: Webflow (Site settings → Custom code), Wix (Settings → Custom code), Squarespace (Code injection), PrestaShop, Magento, Drupal… Paste the snippet once, site-wide.The snippet is copied with your property ID already filled in from Admin → Properties → Tag snippet, and from the onboarding screen right after sign-up.
You don't need to retag
If your site already has analytics or marketing tags, Eureka reuses them: it reads their events and conversions as they are. Keep them in place. See Existing tags compatibility for the list.
Verify the installation
Open your site in a new tab and click around for a few seconds. Back in Eureka, the onboarding screen shows "ok!" as soon as the first event arrives (it checks the last 30 days of data for your property). You can also open Realtime: your own visit appears within seconds.
Nothing after a minute? Check that the snippet is on the page (view the page source), that your property ID is right, and that the page's hostname is in the property's allowed hostnames.
Choose a consent mode
Eureka starts in cookieless mode by default: nothing is stored on the visitor's device until consent is given. When your consent banner (CMP) grants analytics consent, Eureka switches to full mode automatically. It reads IAB TCF v2.2, Google Consent Mode v2, Didomi, OneTrust, Axeptio, Cookiebot and Sirdata.
You can change the default in Admin → Properties → Consent:
full, cookielessornone(anonymous counts only). Read Consent and CMPs and Privacy and GDPR before going live.See your first agents and humans
Open Agents & humans → Agents vs humans overview. You will see sessions split by navigation mode (agent, human, mixed, bot), the agents identified so far, and the share of sessions involving an agent. Pick one or several actors at the top of any report to focus on one audience or compare them side by side.
Indexing bots (Googlebot, GPTBot…) mostly don't run JavaScript, so the tag alone sees few of them. To measure them, add a server-side connector: Server-side bot tracking.
Invite your team
Admin → Team → Invite. Give each person a role: owner, admin, editor, analyst or viewer, optionally per site. See Team and roles. The number of seats depends on your plan.
